Miles Dylan Numme-Worrell joins the CMU Cross Country Ski Team from Anchorage, Alaska, bringing with him a lifelong connection to the sport and a strong background in competitive skiing. He transfers to Colorado Mesa University from Montana State University as a sophomore, where he will continue his studies in mechanical engineering.

Miles has been on skis since the age of two and began structured training in 6th grade with the Alaska Pacific University Nordic Ski Center through their middle school program. Throughout high school, he developed into a competitive racer, qualifying for Junior Nationals twice and competing extensively in Alaska’s local race circuit.

After realizing that Montana State did not offer the level of skiing opportunities he was looking for, Miles made the decision to continue both his academic and athletic path at CMU, where he can pursue the sport at a high level while being part of a supportive, team-driven environment.

Beyond skiing, Miles is working toward a lifelong goal of becoming a bush pilot; a path he has already begun pursuing. He is excited to be part of the team and looks forward to contributing to a strong and successful season.
